Borscht is difficult to avoid if you're travelling in Russia for any length of time. The tasty beetroot soup is a staple of the Russian people and a must-eat if you want a real taste of Russian cuisine. Russians joke that no two borscht recipes are ever the same so it's definitely worth trying a few variations.
